INNOV-AT

Academic Teaching Innovation Studio

The goal

The academic teaching innovation studio creates space for the development of innovative teaching methods, participatory approaches and the targeted promotion of good teaching - including student teaching.

The projects

  • Participation room Teaching strategy

The existing teaching strategy is to be further developed in a targeted manner in order to be able to react more flexibly to current challenges in teaching. To this end, a comprehensively participative and agile process is being created that actively involves all status groups - especially students.

  • Funding programme for student teaching

The programme for tutors aims to recognise and strengthen student teaching at the university. Didactic skills are expanded and innovative teaching and learning concepts are promoted through university didactic workshops and interdisciplinary network meetings.

  • Incentives for effective teaching

The University of Jena is strengthening its incentive and funding structures in order to continue to provide teaching staff and students with targeted support for the further development of their teaching and for trialling new teaching and learning models. Existing funding lines are being reviewed and supplemented with new, flexible instruments that promote interdisciplinarity, future-orientation and participation

  • INVENTIO-Projects & FUTURUM-Day

During an annual INVENTIO week, students work on real-life problems and develop innovative solutions - supported by teaching staff with specific didactic training. The FUTURUM Day pools the results of the INVENTIO week, networks university members and external partners and serves as a platform for ideas for sustainable teaching.
