For 20 years now, the CEWS university ranking has been providing a clear overview of data on the state of gender equality at various qualification and career levels at universities in Germany every two years. The ranking is thus an established and long-standing instrument for quality assurance of gender equality at universities, which complements instruments such as competitions (Professorinnenprogramm), evaluations, and certifications.
