The Digital Academy at Friedrich-Schiller-Universit?t Jena aims to promote and accelerate the advances of digital research methods in all research areas of our university.
More specifically it wants to enable new data- and model-driven research approaches by bringing together digital methods, research infrastructures, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Following a series of workshops with researchers and staff members, we are pleased to share outcomes and invite all researchers of the university and its collaboration partners to a discussion of the results and provide insights into projects.

The event "Creating the Digital Academy - Perspectives & Reflections on Digital Research" offers the opportunity to network, exchange experiences, and actively help shape the digital future in research of the university.

Why attend?

  • See the results from the workshops and contribute to shaping the future development of the Digital Academy.
  • Discuss digital research workflows, new learning formats, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Share insights into your own digital work and engage with others on related topics.
  • Network with colleagues across faculties and research areas.
  • Learn about the wealth of digital research happening at FSU Jena and gain insights into projects across the university.

Key areas of the Digital Academy

Networking:?New collaborations, interdisciplinary exchange, and impulses for research.
Research support: Pilot solutions for digital research workflows and targeted expertise for research processes.
Competence development: Piloting research projects to identify gaps in research support, explore and establish new formats for digital research, and develop and transfer solutions through workshops, training, and learning opportunities on data, software, and AI in research.
