My semester in Jena was very memorable, emotional, and interesting. During this time, I met many new people, traveled a lot, and had the opportunity to study at a German university. I was pleasantly surprised by how many events and meetings are organized for students, as this makes it much easier to get to know new people and feel part of the student community.

These events are truly fun, engaging, and a great way to socialize with both international and local students. They helped me feel more comfortable in a new environment and made my stay even more enjoyable.

The German education system is quite different from the education system in my home country. In Germany, students actively discuss topics during classes and analyze them together with the professor. This approach helps develop students’ critical thinking skills. I really appreciated the individual approach of the professors toward each student. I was also impressed by how much the university does for its students. For example, many events are organized on campus, and welcome events for new students made the beginning of the semester especially pleasant.

Before coming to Jena, I wish I had known that there would be a lot of bureaucratic matters. Therefore, it is very important to always be attentive and to book appointments on time.

Overall, this was an amazing experience for me. I gained not only academic knowledge but also many other useful skills that will definitely help me in my future life.
