FECT Summer School 2025:
Mapping Diversity: Intercultural Perspectives on Language, Space and Society

The Summer School took place from July 21st -25th 2025 in Jena and was an exciting opportunity to gain intercultural and language skills with us and our partners.

The next Summer School will take place in 2026.

The FECT Summer School is aimed at students and employees of the University of Jena and the partner universities of the EC2U alliance.

Program

The FECT Summer School brings together students, doctoral candidates and lecturers from all over Europe for an intensive, interdisciplinary program. Through interactive workshops, hands-on experiences and collaborative projects, participants will explore key aspects of intercultural communication and diversity.

The program addresses current issues related to linguistic landscapes, minority languages and intercultural cooperation. Participants will work together on practical activities such as mapping intercultural diversity, analyzing language in public spaces and reflecting on the dynamics of identity and belonging.
