In order to implement the career path of tenure-track professorship in the long term, the University of Jena will advertise at least 20 per cent of all professorships as tenure-track professorships in the future. In addition, the university management, the Vice President's Office for Research and Innovation, the university faculties, the Office for Academic Appointments, the Human Resources Department, the Legal Department and the Graduate Academy are working together on the further development of academic career paths.
The Standing Committee for Tenure Track Procedures is responsible for monitoring all tenure track appointment procedures. Its task is to ensure standardised procedures university-wide, as well as guarantee the greatest possible transparency and the highest quality standards in tenure-track procedures. The Commission makes general recommendations to the Presidential Board when regarding appointment commitments and the continuation of employment relationships. It also submits proposals for the continuous improvement of the tenure-track procedure. It is chaired by the Vice President for Research and Innovation?de, further members are the equality officer of the university?de and all members of the Senate Committee for Research?de and the Senate committee for Young Researchers?de.
